About Flim Flam Publishing
Marty Clements is an elementary school art teacher. All the children love her class. Her projects are inspired by the great artists of the past. I'm talking about Picasso, Matisse, Dali, O'Keeffe, Calder, Van Gogh, Leonardo, you get the idea. She teaches university-level topics with the whimsy required to hold young people's attention for fifty-five minutes. She began writing these delightful children's books in 2010.
Joseph Devens is her son. He is a cartoonist from Austin, Texas. From 2004-2008, he was the comics page editor of The Daily Texan Newspaper at The University of Texas at Austin where he earned a BA in painting. He continues to draw his award-winning comic strip "Whale", which is certainly not for children. (Unless you count grown-up children.)
